Dan Herbon, Co-Devolper
Dan Herbon founded the Foreclosure Depot, headquartered at 130 N. Park Ave., Apopka, Florida, which serves the Central Florida real estate marketplace. A retired banker, he originally set up the company to be used by the “big bank” as a vehicle to remedy and dispose of distressed assets.
This occurred in the pre-bail-out environment when bankers were scrambling to find their own solutions. Herbon provides investors with a user-friendly platform to purchase distressed assets. From 2005 to 2007, Herbon served as the President of Pioneer Funding Corporation, a mortgage banking lender in central Florida with a primary focus on single-family homes. From 2003 to 2005, he was the General Manager and Television Spokesperson for Florida Moneytree, a mortgage banking company serving the Southeastern States.
Herbon was born in Berkeley, California, and raised in the San Francisco Bay area where he launched a banking career with American Savings and Loan. He began to work with distressed assets during the savings and loan crisis. Subsequently, he joined several independent banks and prepared the portfolios for sale to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
An avid fisherman, Herbon is also a devout environmentalist and an animal rescuer. Currently, he is represented by a group in Washington D.C. to facilitate the acquisition and development of a master-planned climate community in Florida with over 2,500 homes. roadway New York Premiere in September/October 2022.
